Back then, university groups like the Varsity Outdoor Club were the heart of the climbing community. As most climbers were cash-strapped students, they found it expedient to use their gear before bringing it back to Canada,



so it would look beat up and perhaps go undeclared. With enough of these trips happening, rumours began to swirl-someone had seen the cops writing down license plate numbers in the REI parking lot. So this wasn't a viable long-term solution, and in any case, it wasn't the right thing to do.



This lightweight system permits you to filter 1.5L of water per minute with low effort and no pumping. You simply fill and raise the reservoir, letting gravity and the proprietary polymer fibres remove 99.9999% of all bacteria and protozoa.
